  1. The largest primate on the planet the mountain gorilla. 6 feet tall and weighing 500 to 1.000 pounds. Have to be careful not to have contact in the wild with these great apes. Because if you have any germs or diseases you can easily transmit it to the apes. They are my favorite primates found only in equatorial Africa. Called mountain gorilla’s because they live up in a higher elevation in the mountains. So they need more hair or fur cause its cooler where they live. Now lowland gorillas live a lower point so they have less hair. Gorilla society is led by the dominant Male or the silverback he has the right to territory and females to mate with. He will have to defend territory and his troop against other males looking to overthrow him. Criticality endangered only a 1.000 or so left. I respect dian fossey for what she did for these critters. What can I say but ooooo ooooo ha ha.
